Low-Carbon Transition in Carbon Industry: Energy-Saving Graphitization Supports Overseas Smelters

The global steel industry is pushing forward carbon emission control. Electric arc furnace short-process steelmaking features far lower carbon emissions than long-process routes, and its market share keeps growing across Europe, Asia and Central Asia. According to public industry research, the graphitization process accounts for more than 60% of total energy consumption in graphite electrode production. Reducing manufacturing-stage energy consumption has become a key evaluation factor for overseas steel mills when sourcing carbon products.

Low-carbon steelmaking is driving process upgrades across the carbon industry.
